Welcome to our Blog - Looking forward to 2018 and beyond

October 7, 2017

Welcome to the very first blog on our website.

The aim and purpose of this blog is first to keep people updated with the goings on at Noarlunga Camera Club and secondly to provide hints, tips, tutorials and other general thought from various members of the club.

If you have an idea for a blog post please email Quentin Smith who will upload it to the website  for you.

Any member of the club is welcome to add to our blog.

Now that I have completed my first year a s President of the club, I think it is safe to say that all did not go according to plan.

But we are learning, and continue to strive to make our club better than ever.

There are new and exciting photographic opportunities presenting all of the time, and we hope to incorporate a lot of them into our 2018 programme.

There will be more outings and weekends away,  some exciting guests speakers that will not only talk

about their photography but also how get hands on and teach us how to achieve similar results.

We also have one very special speaker, that will give  us a presentation that will be truly memorable.
(No - I am not who or what that is now)

We are about to have our annual exhibition which will be opened by the  Hon. Chris Picton MP, Member for Kaurna, Minister for Police, Minister for Correctional Services, Minister for Emergency Services and Minister for Road Safety. This is the first time we have had the opportunity to have a Cabinet Minister open our exhibition, and I do encourage all of our members to come along and enjoy the evening.

Our library display is up and running, at the information desk on level 3 of the Onkaparinga City Library, and this will be refreshed at the beginning of November.

Our annual exhibition next year will be replace by having a semi permanent gallery space in the Arts centre. We will have works on display from February right through until November, with these also being refreshed a couple of times throughout the year.

I think thats enough for now ...

Have an awesome day
